4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga – itinerary :

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we drive from Dades Gorges to the desert of the Erg Chebbi. This is the Sahara where Merzouga village is located. Thus, we drive through the Berber villages of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud town. Besides, you will view the oasis of the Tafilalet region on our way. And then we arrive in Merzouga and relax for a few minutes and have mint tea. Secondly, you will join your camel guide for a camel trip to the camp. Surely, this is a great chance to take photographic pictures of the sunset and sunrise. Once you are in the camp, you enjoy dinner and drum music around the fire. Finally, you spend a magical night under the stars in the middle of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Leaving Ouarzazate is after breakfast. Thus, we will have more time to visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is the most impressive and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Not to mention, many movies were filmed here, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Secondly, we leave Ait Ben Haddou and start heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains landscapes. Then, we cross the highest mountain pass in Morocco called Tizi ‘N’Tichka (2260m). Finally, we visited the Argan Oil cooperative and ended the day in Marrakech.

Ait Ben Haddou.

Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah is a fortified village or ksar in the Ounila Valley. It is a great example of Morocco’s earthen architecture. Also, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
