The first day of the 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert offers incredible things to visit. Firstly, we will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport. After that, we travel from Marrakech to Dades Gorges, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass. We will make a stop for panoramic views, and we will keep our way via the traditional Berber village of Telouet. Furthermore, we continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest Kasbah in Morocco. You will have enough time to visit this Kasbah and enjoy your lunch. Finally, we drive to Ouarzazate and end the day in Dades Valley. You will spend the night in a riad/hotel there.
After breakfast, we drive from Dades Gorges to the desert of the Erg Chebbi. This is the Sahara where Merzouga village is located. Thus, we drive through the Berber villages of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud town. Besides, you will view the oasis of the Tafilalet region on our way. And then we arrive in Merzouga and relax for a few minutes, and have mint tea. Secondly, you will join your camel guide for a camel trip to the camp. Surely, this is a great chance to take pictures of the sunset and sunrise. Once you are in the camp, you enjoy dinner and drum music around the fire. Finally, you spend a magical night under the stars in the middle of the desert.
On the third day of the 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert, you wake up early for sunrise. After watching the sunrise view, we go back on camels to Merzouga and enjoy a shower and breakfast in the Hotel. Thereafter, we travel to Ouarzazate. Hence, we will take another road to enjoy other Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains and the Draa Valley. In addition to that, we stop in the Anti-Atlas Mountains for a panoramic view. Finally, we arrive at Ouarzazate and spend the night there
Leaving Ouarzazate is after breakfast. Thus, we will have more time to visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is the most impressive and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Not to mention, many movies were filmed here, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Secondly, we leave Ait Ben Haddou and start heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains landscapes. Then, we cross the highest mountain pass in Morocco, called Tizi ‘N’Tichka (2260m). Finally, we visited the Argan Oil cooperative and ended the day in Marrakech.
The extra day made the trip perfect. We had more time to enjoy the dunes, camel ride, and desert camp atmosphere.
