Leaving Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning and departing for Ouarzazate. On the way, we will cross the Atlas by the surprising port of Tizi n’Tichka, 2,260 meters in height. Further, after we cross the Atlas, we take a track to visit the Kasbah of the Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. And then, we pass through various Berber villages, and we arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Moreover, it is an incredibly fortified city more than 800 years old. After having breakfast and visiting the Taourirt Kasbah, we depart for the Zagora direction. We cross the mountains of the Anti Atlas and pass through the port of Tizi n Tinifift (1,600 meters) in height. In the Draa Valley, we take a track full of various Berber villages and kasbahs in its interior. Subsequently, we leave via N’kob village, Tarazine, and Alnif. We will take another track that crosses a lot of towns until you reach the Gorges of Meharch. Many of these sections are to be traversed during the Dakar Rally. Thereafter, you will discover the nomads’ lifestyle while you are covering them in their tents around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Moreover, lunch with locals in the Berber village. In the afternoon, you ride out on your camel, crossing the ocean of the dunes to spend the night in the heart of the dunes. Then, dinner and overnight under a nomad tent.
Continuing along the track of the Dakar Rally is after breakfast. Thus, we cross more people’s solitary, epiphytic plants, wadis (dry river beds), oases, and dunes of Ouzina. Next, we follow the route through Berber villages towards the direction of the Erg Chebbi. This desert has the highest dunes in Morocco. There, we will have pizza for lunch with the Berber family nomad. After that, we arrive at Merzouga, known for the high golden dunes. In the hotel, we will handle your luggage and start your camel trip into the desert. On the way, you enjoy the sunsets and reach a desert camp in the middle of the desert. You spend a great night playing music around the fire after dinner.
We wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise view. After that, you return to the Hotel by camel or 4×4. The shower and breakfast area in the hotel. Later on, we take you around the Erg Chebbi to meet nomads. The desert is an extension of the sand desert, which is located at the Great Dune of Morocco at an altitude of 250 meters. Furthermore, we keep on the tour via the route of the old Paris-Dakar. This road borders the mountains of Algeria. A Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin before we reach a settlement where nomads live.
Secondly, we stop for a panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi and drive to Khamlia. The people of this village came from Mali. So, we relax with a cup of tea and enjoy a small concert of Gnawa music. And we have lunch there. Finally, we visit one of the oases and enjoy the sunset on some of the nearby dunes. And then we drive to the hotel and spend a night, including dinner.
After a hot shower and breakfast, we take the direction to Rissani. The town is the original home to the Alawite dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco. Secondly, we resume our direction to Erfoud. It is rich in black stone and marine fossils. There will have to be a stop in this town to visit the factory of fossils. After that, you will stop to enjoy the palm groves of the Tafilalet. Also, we will visit the gorges of the Todra and arrive at the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Today, we leave the valley after breakfast. Thus, we drive through the route of the “Thousand Kasbahs”. On this route, we pass through the stunning Valley of the Roses. And you will arrive at the palm grove of Skoura. This town is famous for the old Kasbah of Amridil. From this point, we will drive to Marrakesh.
